Farm & Home Tours

Step back in time at the Graham farm, a designated Century Farm nestled in the heart of the Paint Rock Valley. Rich in heritage and natural beauty, this historic homestead offers a unique self-guided interpretive trail farm tour that winds through the property, giving visitors a captivating look at the land’s past. Explore the original buildings and learn how they were used in days gone by, while gaining a deeper appreciation for the surrounding landscape and its enduring significance.

Inside the beautifully preserved dogtrot home, guests will find a fascinating agricultural timeline that spans from the early 1800s to the present day. This display not only highlights the contributions of Paint Rock Valley to Alabama’s agricultural story but also celebrates the legacy of the Graham family—Ola and Grady Graham, their sons, James, Carl, and Kelly, and their daughter, Nita.

Nita, the last Graham to reside in the home, along with her husband Robert Head, played a pivotal role in preserving this special place. Their generous donation of the 491 acres of the Graham Farm and Nature Center was made with one goal in mind: to leave behind a lasting educational legacy for future generations.
